What food to order for Valentine's Day
Of course this depends on whether you're going for a meal or just a tea, but here are a few suggestions of what we'd put on our Valentine's Day menu. We'd recommend getting things that are a little extra special to really show the appreciation today:
Savoury
- Seafoods, such as oysters, scallops and prawns, are often on the "romance" menu, but even for a non-romantic Valentine's Day celebration, they certainly make great any occasion special
- Cheese and charcuterie boards are always a winner if you're taking the grazing plates approach and it pair perfectly with a glass of wine
Sweet
- Cakes and cookies that are decorated with Valentine's Day in mind, including icing, design and the colour used in the dough itself
- Small sweets to scatter around the office, including candy hearts and plenty of chocolate
Drinks
- Bring in barista coffees, topped with love hearts in the foam or opt for creamy hot chocolates
- If you're hosting after-work drinks for a little Valentine's Day at work soirée, stock up on recipes for pink and red cocktails and order a few reds, rosés and whites - with those hues they're practically made for this day!
Another great idea is to let the team decide! After all, you're trying to show staff appreciation, so why not encourage employees to share their favourite dishes and order those in.
Happy Valentine's Day from the EatFirst team! ❤

When do I need to order food for it to arrive on Valentine's Day?
We'd recommend ordering a few days in advance of your Valentine's Day celebrations so you have a better idea of numbers. However, you can order catering through our online marketplace as early as you'd like! As for a final cut-off time, this all depends on the caterer.
All of our listings will mention the turnaround time next to an image of a clock. For example, the below example requires a minimum 21-hour turnaround time.
What can I do for Valentine's Day in the office?
Putting together a Valentine's Day shindig for the office can be super easy with just a few must-have things. We'd recommend getting:
- Savoury and sweet nibbles (including plenty of chocolate!)
- Simple decorations, like balloons or flowers
- Opt for pink or red napkins, cutlery and plates if you're needing some
- A small gift of appreciation for each employee (such as a card, or goodie bag with sweets)
