What is Eid al-Fitr?
After a month of spiritual reflection and devotion, Eid (also referred to as Eid al-Fitr) marks the end of Ramadan's fasting from sunrise to sunset.
And to celebrate breaking the fast, we eat of course!
It's common to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, known as the "Festival of Sweets", by beginning the first day after the Ramadan feast has ended by indulging in sweets during daylight hours.
By lunch time, the Eid celebrations continue with more food.
