How do I order catering in Perth?
There's two ways of ordering catering on EatFirst. You can either place your order completely online on our marketplace, or if you can use a bit of extra help or have questions, call our customer care team at 1300 851 900.
What's the price range for Perth catering?
Catering prices vary greatly depending on where you're ordering from and what meal you're serving. Here's a rough guide on what you can expect prices on catering menus to work out to per person.
Morning or afternoon tea should cost roughly $10-$15 per person, on the higher end if you're serving any warmer items and on the lower end for the more basic fruit and pastry-style service.
Lunch catering tends to cost a bit more as it's a full meal, so we'd recommend setting a budget of $15-$20 per person. You can get more basic catering, like sandwich platters, salads or pizza in the $10-$15 range, but if you'd like any specialty cuisines like Thai, Sushi or Indian, expect it to be a bit pricier.
Grazing platters and finger foods can cost you as low as $10-$15, depending on the quality of meats and cheeses you'd like to serve - they can get pricy!
Are special-diet platters available?
They sure are! Vegan and vegetarian platter options are readily available, especially when you're ordering items like sushi, sandwiches, fruits and salads.
If you need items that are gluten or dairy free too, this can easily be arranged either by ordering items that naturally don't contain either (sushi and rice paper rolls are great!) or by giving us a call.
How much food do I need when ordering platters?
Wherever possible, our menus will note how many people a platter is best suited for. You can see this noted on the menu item itself, or within an expanded description of an item.
If it's not mentioned, we usually recommend 1.5 sandwiches per person for sandwich and wrap platters. Sushi platters with average-sized pieces would usually have about 10 pieces per person.
For events, or when platters are meant more for grazing than as a meal, it can get a bit tricky. We generally recommend:
- Less than an hour: 2 items per person
- One-two hours: 3-4 items per person
- Two hours or more: 5-6 items per person
Still not sure? Get in touch with our friendly customer care team and tell us the size of the group and what sort of food you'd like and we can help you with portions.
What sort of foods can go on gluten free share platters?
Loads! Other than the bread and biscuits, most items that are usually found on share platters and grazing boards are gluten free. Simply replace any bread and biscuits with gluten free options or vegetables that work well with dips and cheeses, such as carrots, celery and capsicum.

How much does a catering platter cost?
While it really does depend on how many people you need to serve and what type of food you're going to offer, most platters will be in the $10-$15 per person range.
On the more cost-effective end, you'll find cheese boards, sandwiches and hot finger foods, such as sausage rolls and party pies.
What kind of food platters are there?
You can get just about any food on a platter... well, maybe not soup. But platters are a great way to share a crowd, with either full-size meal options prepared in bulk or with smaller nibbles that will let you try a few different items.
Some of the most popular platters that we sell include:
- Antipasto platters
- Breakfast platters
- Cheese platters
- Dessert platters
- Fruit platters
- Charcuterie/cured meats platters
- Mezze platters
- Sandwich platters
